Guide

Find a subject

Discovery is how you arrive at a subject. It is not the same as studying it.

Explore is the catalog: languages, science, culture, business, people, design, and technology. A card is a subject, not a lesson. Opening one is how study starts.

Search when you know the name. Browse and filter when you are looking around. Suggested and Serendipity are badges on cards, not a separate list of what is “best.” They use only subjects you have already started on this device.

How to

  1. Open Explore. Use the search field if you know a name such as Psychology, Python, or UX.

  2. Or browse the list and filter by category when you do not have a name yet.

  3. Read the card: a short description and how many lessons it has. That is enough to decide whether to open it.

  4. A Suggested badge comes from subjects you already started, spread across fields. A heart is Serendipity — one subject outside that path, the same pick for the day.

  5. Press Ctrl+K (or / when you are not typing) from any page. Search finds subjects, lessons, Quizzes, Games, and these how-to pages.

What you will see

  • The catalog, category filters, and a short line on each card.
  • Suggested badges only after you have started at least one subject.
  • One heart a day. It does not jump every time you reload.
  • If you have not started anything, early suggestions lean toward business, people, and design — not a tech stack.

If you get stuck

  • No results: try a shorter name, or clear the filter and browse.
  • No Suggested badge yet: open any subject first. The catalog still works without it.
  • Suggested is “nearby,” not a ranking. You choose what to study.
